The New York Conservative Party "is standing by" NY Rep. Matt Doheny (R). NY Conservative Chairman Mike Long (R) March 30 "said the party intends to nominate Doheny...despite the release of racy photos and videos showing the candidate cavorting with a woman who is not his fiancée. But Long warned Doheny to clean up his act."
Long: “Hopefully, this incident will not lead to anything else. I would hope it ends here. He’s got to straighten this out with his future wife.”
One GOP insider: “I’m happy I’m not working for him. The campaign is concerned about what else is out there. His fiancée needs to be warned” (Campanile, New York Post, 3/31).
