Tomblin Raises $1 Million

Tomblin Raises $1 Million:
West Virginia Democratic Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin reported raising just over $1 million so far in his reelection campaign, and has 876,000 in the bank.

Tomblin's likely general election opponent -- and 2010 opponnet -- Republican businessman Bill Maloney reported raising over $300,000 and had close to $267,000 on hand.

Maloney announced he would challenge Tomblin again in late January, just a few months after narrowly losing to him in an October 2011 special election.

Each man has a primary challenger -- Arne Moltis is running in the Democratic primary, Ralph William Clark is running the GOP contest -- both of whom also ran in the 2011 race, and neither of whom is considered a real threat. Moltis didn't file a report, while Clark lent his campaign $5,000 and had $263 on hand.
