Donors to Holding's super PAC unveiled.

Supporters ex-U.S. Atty George Holding (R) "have released the names of contributors to a super PAC that has been running ads in support of his candidacy." American Foundations Inc. dir. Palmer Sugg said that the contributors "are 'family and friends.'" Sugg "said the PAC has raised" more than $290K as of March 28.
The "donors to the super PAC" are ret. First Citizens chair Frank Holding ($100K), First Citizens CEO Frank Holding Jr. ($10K), Holding's brother Frank Holding ($5K), businessman Lonnie Poole ($500), businessman Robert Newcomb ($750), atty David Ward Jr. ($5K), car dealerDavid Johnson Jr. ($16K) businessman Elbert Boyd ($2K) and Holding's cousins Carolyn Holding ($50K), Carmen Holding Ames ($50K), John McNair Bell ($17K), Fairley Bell Cook ($17K) and Victor Bell III ($17K) (Christensen, "Under the Dome", Raleigh News and Observer, 3/30).
