Norquist endorses McIntosh.

Americans for Tax Reform pres. Grover Norquist flew to IN to bestow "a rare personal endorsement" on ex-Rep. David McIntosh (R). McIntosh "read and signed" Norquist's pledge not to raise taxes "during a press conference" April 9. McIntosh: "I will not vote to raise taxes if you choose me as your next congressman."

Norquist: "As a friend of the taxpayer who won’t raise your taxes and will say no to runaway government spending, Dave McIntosh is the obvious choice for taxpayers. I’m delighted to be here to endorse him."

Norquist said McIntosh is the only candidate he has endorsed this cycle (Sikich, "Deep Fried Politics," Indianapolis Star, 4/9).
