Hotline Sort: McCaskill Takes On Vegas:
Welcome back to Hotline Sort. Romney sweeps Tuesday's primaries, Dave Spence faces another tough headline, and Rep. Louise Slaughter is recovering from a broken leg. Meanwhile, John Delaney wins the MD-06 Dem primary and will give Roscoe Bartlett the toughest reelection fight of his career in Maryland.
9) Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-N.Y., broke her leg in a fall while attending an event in New York City this week. The Buffalo News reports Slaughter's office says she is "in good spirits and her doctors anticipate she will be back at work when the House reconvenes on April 16."
8) On Monday, NBC's Today remained ahead of Good Morning America in ratings, even though Katie Couric is filling in on GMA this week. Sarah Palin guest hosted Today on Tuesday.
7) What will Republicans do if the Supreme Court overturns Obama's health care law? They're already starting to think about alternative plans to put in place, the New York Times reports. But even they concede they have a ways to go.
6) As the embarrassingly luxurious Las Vegas GSA trip that prompted the resignation of the agency head stays in the headlines, it could mean good news for Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo. The vulnerable senator (and former state auditor) is leading a committee that has been investigating the agency. It's an opportunity for McCaskill to shore up the good government, no-nonsense image she wants to project.
