Elizabeth Warren Hints at Another Big Fundraising Quarter:
Consumer advocate Elizabeth Warren is offering hint about how big her first quarter fundraising total will be: In a note to supporters on Wednesday, Warren's campaign manager announces that the Democratic Senate candidate has raised $2.5 million from Massachusetts residents alone -- more money than the majority of Senate candidates are likely to raise over the entire quarter.
During the final quarter of 2011, when Warren raised an eye-popping $5.7 million, she took in $1.79 million from inside the Bay State.
Her in-state sum is also notable given the attacks Warren has faced over raising money outside of Massachusetts in places like Hollywood. Given the millions Warren raised in Massachusetts, its difficult to argue that she doesn't have a strong financial base in the state.
Sen. Scott Brown, R-Mass., has not yet released his fundraising numbers. He had close to $13 million in the bank at the end of last year to Warren's $6 million.
